Refund & Credit Policy

StatementKey operates on a credit-based system. Our refund and credit deduction policies are automated and designed to be fair.
1. Purchases
Purchases of monthly subscriptions and permanent credit packs are generally non-refundable once the transaction is completed, except where required by law.
2. Automated Credit Management (System Errors)
We deduct credits upfront when you initiate a document conversion. If our system experiences a critical internal failure, database error, or crashes after your credits are deducted but before your file is processed, your credits will be automatically refunded to your account.
3. Invalid or Corrupt Files
If you attempt to upload a PDF that is corrupt, password-protected, or fundamentally unreadable by our system, the process will fail immediately, and no credits will be deducted.
4. "No Data Found" (Spam/Junk Protection)
If you upload a valid, readable PDF that is not a bank statement (e.g., a novel, a blank page, or a random image), our AI will successfully process the page but return zero financial transactions. In this event, credits are not refunded. The processing power and API costs were fully utilized to scan the document provided.
